Aryan Mandavkar’s Hat-trick helps sainath sports club win in mCA u19 mangrol cricket tournament’22

On April 5, Sainath Sports Club took on P.J. Hindu Gymkhana during the MCA U19 Mangrol Cricket Tournament. Sainath Sports Club won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Put in to bat, P.J. Hindu Gymkhana piled up 165 runs in their full quota of 40 overs. Middle order batter Rahul top scored with a 33-ball 35. On the other hand, Aryan Mandavkar wreaked havoc with the ball as he scalped 4-36 in eight overs. Mandavkar bowled a couple of maiden overs and struck with a hat-trick. 

In reply, Sainath Sports Club made light work of the run chase as they completed the formalities in just 32 overs. The opening pair of Sarvesh Yadav (56 runs off 71 balls) and Tanish Meher stitched a 107 run partnership in 19.2 overs. before the former was run out. The Yadav-Meher blitz set the base for the run chase. Meher top scored with an unbeaten 73 off 76 balls. On the other hand, P.J. Hindu Gymkhana had an ordinary outing with the ball. Kavi Priyan and Chetan Wagh were the wicket-takers as they struck with one wicket each.

Sainath Sports Club handed a crushing seven wicket defeat to P.J.Hindu Gymkhana during the MCA U19 Mangrol Cricket Tournament.

Cricket is a sport that Juili picked up right from her childhood days. Her journey from playing with the boys in the compound walls to practising under the able aegis of Jonty Rhodes has been a spectacular one.
She was a part of Mumbai Women’s U-19 and U-23 probables during her four-year stint at the MCA. As a middle order bat and a part time medium pace bowler, she also represented Mumbai University at All-India University Women’s Cricket for two years.

In the quest of further education, she discontinued with the sport. Currently she is pursuing her Ph.D in Finance from IIT Bombay’s School of Management.
