DDCA Elections Tomorrow: Tihara Group looking strong in pre-election campaigns

The much awaited and hyped elections of the state’s apex cricket body- Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) will finally happen tomorrow i.e. 1st September 2015.

The two major groups heading into the elections are CK Khanna Group and Vinod Tihara Group. The dates approaching to the elections have been rather controversial, to say the least.

Few major issues are at stake this time around with the rights of the DDCA registered clubs becoming an utmost priority. That includes the subsidy provided to clubs, BCCI registration, member cards for club secretaries and few other things.

The Tihara Group members include Mr. Ashok Katyal, Mr. Anil Kumar Chaudhary, Mr. Anil Kumar Sharma, Mr. Naresh Sharma, Mr. P.S Chauhan, Mr. Pradeep Gupta, Mr. Pradeep Aggarwal, Mr. Ramesh Sachdeva, Mr. Vijay Bahadur Mishra and Mr. Vinod K. Tihara.

The major agendas covered by the  group are as follows:

1. Rights of Clubs

2. BCCI Registration of Clubs

3. Focus on increasing Clubs subsidy

4. Creation of DDCA Club Profiles online

5. Man of the Match awards in DDCA League matches

And few others.

Lets hope the group with the best agenda and positive intentions win and help in improving the status of the unofficial national game of the country, in the national capital. Ultimately it’s the game of cricket that is at stake and our leaders and decision makers are the key to maintaining the platform for the upcoming cricketers.
