Arjun Shetty scores a brazen 103* vs Shivaji Park Gymkhana in the Kanga League 2017-18

Held at the Parsee Gymkhana Ground in Mumbai, two experienced teams Shivaji Park Gymkhana & Parsee Gymkhana clashed for a crucial encounter where in Parsee Gymkhana was put to bat first by SPG boys after winning the toss considering the damp rainy conditions.

However, it hardly made any difference to the Parsee gymkhana boys as they notched up a very solid total of 268/5 before they declared after the completion of just 36 overs.  Opener Bravish shetty gave a good start with a 39ball 45 while they did lose quick wickets in between until left-handed Arjun Shetty came in at no.5 & scored an effortlessly aggressive 103* off mere 78balls. Arjun counter-attacked the bowlers from the word ‘go’ as he played at a strike rate of 132.05 which included 12 fours and 3 sixes.

In reply, Shivaji Park Gymkhana scored 148/2 in 39 overs before the end of the game’s play where the match was declared drawn. Both the teams displayed their strong batting perfomance which resulted in a draw. Right-handed Akash scored a 50 while Kunal Chalke at no.3 remained unbeaten of 77*off 117balls which included 11 fours & a six.
