Anish Chaudhary & Devendranath Parida impress in Young Comrade’s Win
Young Comrade Cricket Club took on PJ Hindu Gymkhana during the Young Comrade Shield. The game was played from December 24 to 25. PJ Hindu Gymkhana won the toss and elected to bat.
Winning the toss and electing to bat first, PJ Hindu Gymkhana did not have the best of outings as they were bundled out for 172 in 34.2 overs. Bins Neyyonth was the only warrior in the fight as he mustered 41. On the other hand, Young Comrade Cricket Club’s Devendranath Parida wreaked havoc with the ball, scalping 56/6 and receiving good support from Sandesh Sawant, who picked 42/3.
In response, Young Comrade Cricket Club chased down the total in 35 overs and won the match by two wickets. Anish Chaudhary was at the helm of the run chase with a brilliant 60. Vedant Patil, too made a valuable contribution of 30 in the process. On the other hand, PJ Hindu Gymkhana’s Jitendra Paliwal accounted for 51/6, but his effort went in vain as none of the other bowlers could impress.
