Anil Jhulka’s 4-fer seals the deal for Deutsche Bank in the One World Masters Cup Tournament
Held at the Sachivalay Ground in Mumbai, ICICI securities & Deutsche Bank Group clashed for the all important finals. Deutsche Bank XI won the toss & elected to bowl first with an aim of restricting ICICI bowlers to a low total.
Their decision to bowl first was quite spot on as they restricted ICICI to just 117/9 in 20overs. The batsman were not able to convert their starts or else they could have reached a total of 140+. Opener Javeed scored a solid 31 off 37balls while Amar was the 2nd highest scorer with a 32ball 28. All-rounder Anil Jhulka took 4/28 & continued his good form throughout the series both with the ball as well as with the bat.
Chasing 118 was a mere cakewalk for the Deutsche Bank players as they chased down the score in just 14.2 overs & won the match by 6wkts. Openers F.D Silva & V Wagh scored a quickfire 28 & 31 to create a good start while V Angne(21* off 20) & A Sharma(23 off 13) chipped in with quick 20’s to finish the chase.
Deutsche Bank XI won the all important finals by 6wkts and 5.4 overs to spare while Spinner Anil Jhulka’s 4wkts made him earn ‘man of the match’. Anil Jhulka was also declared ‘man of the tournament’ for his consistent perfomance throughout the series.
