Tournaments like these are always a great platform to unearth the hidden cricketing talents and one such boy who is impressing one and all with his batting has been Aniket Singh from Don Bosco Cricket Academy.
In the match vs Young National CC, Don Bosco School electing to bat first at Cross Maidan notched up 319/3 in 35 overs. Aniket opening the innings went on to score a swashbuckling 164* batting till the end facing mere 114 balls which had 26 fours and 2 sixes. Aniket also stitched a brilliant 196 run stand with Naman Jawhar for 3rd wicket who also scored an impressive 103 runs off 74 balls. Young National CC in reply managed to score only 162/6 failing to keep up with the run rate as Don Bosco clinched a big win by 157 runs.
In the 4th match vs Goregaon Sports Club, Don Bosco batting first managed to score 273/6 in 35 overs with opener Aniket once again taking his team towards a healthy total. Aniket this time took only 102 deliveries to score his 140 runs which had 24 boundaries in it. Thanks to some really tight bowling by the Don Bosco bowlers, GSC were bundled out for 83 runs handing over a 190 run win to the Don Bosco team.
