Anand Singh’s 151 propels DY Patil A to a big win over Air India Sports Club in the A Div Times Shield’19
Air India Sports Club after opting to bat first were bundled out for just 216 runs in their 1st innings. Prashant Bhoir with 3/30 was the pick of the bowlers as DY Patil bowlers did not allow a single batsman to cross the 50 run individual mark.
DY Patil A who are always known to have a formidable batting line up stayed true to its reputation amassing a mammoth 426/8 dec in 103 overs. Anand Singh who is a first class cricketer representing Jharkhand brought all his experience into the game as he went on to score a brilliant 151 runs for DY Patil team. Facing 211 balls, Anand smashed 23 boundaries and a six anchoring DY Patil to a huge 1st innings total. Yogesh Takawale with 70 runs and Swapnil Singh with 56 also chipped in with valiant half centuries to further solidify DY Patil’s position in the game.
Air India Sports Club in their 2nd innings were all again all out for 217 runs thanks to our very own Iqbal Abdullah running through the batters with a crucial spell of 4/46.
