Ambernath Rising Cricket Club advance to the semi-Final of Thane Premier League
In a nail biting thriller that went through the ebbs and flows, Ambernath Rising Cricket Club finally emerged victorious as they beat FTL XI in the quarter final of Thane Premier League on Sunday at the Dadoji Konddev Stadium. The scores were tied and then the super over also resulted in a tie. Ultimately the boundary count came to Ambernath Rising Cricket Club’s rescue.
Batting first, FTL XI were bowled out for 151 in 17 overs. Opening batter Suryaansh Shedge starred with an impressive 46-ball 77, an innings that was studded with two fours and five sixes. For Ambernath Rising Cricket Club, Saud Mansoori broke the back of FTL XI’s batting with 6/26 in four overs. The left arm spinner ran through the opposition line-up in a jiffy.
In the second innings, Ambernath Rising Cricket Club fought hard and equalled the run tally set by FTL XI. Parikshit Valsangkar impressed with a 47-ball 61, that included five fours and two sixes. For FTL XI, Shedge, dazzled with the ball too, as he claimed 2/37 in four overs and was the most successful bowler.
