All-Rounder Rakesh Naik smashes 96 & takes 5 wkts in the Quarter-finals of the Bombay Junior Shield Tournament’19

Bluestar CC after being made to bat first at the New Hind Sports Club Ground were 4/43 and 5/85 at one point but they got back into the game thanks to Bluestar’s most reliable set of all-rounders Prathamesh Golatkar and Rakesh Naik. Prathamesh at no.6 scored a 51 ball 50 while Rakesh Naik at no.7 scored a brilliant 97 off 86 balls hitting 5 fours and 6 sixes to change the script of the game as the team total reached a defendable 248/8 in 45 overs.

Milton CC on the other hand despite their openers falling out quickly were back into the game with a 134 run stand by Rahul & Darshan. However, it was Rakesh’s day as he changed the game with the ball too coming up with game changing bowling figures of 5/39 in 9 overs as Milton CC were all out for 231 runs.

Bluestar CC won the match by 17 runs and reach the semi-finals of the Bombay Junior Tournament’19
