All-rounder Narayan Iyer shines as IDBI Federal beat Deutsche Bank to win the Plate A Dreamz T20 Cricket Tournament
Batting first, IDBI Federal posted a decent total of 144-7 in 20 overs against Deutsche Bank on 23rd April at M.B.Union Ground, Mumbai in the Plate A final match of Dreamz T20 Cricket Tournament. Opening bat Vicky Patil (42 runs off 42 balls) provided a good start to his team. In the middle order, it was Narayan Iyer (27 runs off 26 balls) who batted with responsibility and helped his team to put up a challenging score on board. Anil was excellent with the ball picking up 3-37 in his four overs.
Deutsche Bank could not get off to a strong start that they would have liked while chasing 145 runs in 20 overs. A few batsmen looked in shape but they failed to play a big knock. Rahul Soni top scored with 26 runs off 18 balls and stitched a beautiful partnership with Sudhakar Gupta who scored a patient 21 off 28 deliveries. Arvind and Narayan were the wreckers-in-chief as they finished off with three wickets each. They bowled well in tandem, not allowing the batsmen to score freely of them. Narayan had a great day at office with both bat and ball.
Narayan Iyer (27 runs off 26 balls and 3-13 in 4 overs) was declared as the Man of the Match for his brilliant all-round efforts.
