All-Round show by Rakesh Yadav & Jayshal’s 4wkts leads Shinrai Toyota to a commendable win in the semis of RCF Corporate T20 Tournament
The RCG Ground at Chembur witnessed an exciting semi-final match between Shinrai Toyota & Nirlon on 14th march 2017. Shinrai Toyota won the toss & elected to bat first after winning the toss as the wicket was good to bat on.
Batting first, openers gave a swashbuckling start to the innings & set the positive momentum. Left-handed dynamic opener Rakesh Yadav smashed 33 off just18 balls (Sr-183.33) to up the run rate from the 1st over itself. Rakesh was looking destructive for his short stay & Nirlon were lucky to get him out for just 33. Rakesh was also supported well by his opening partner Dinesh Pawar who also scored 35 off 30 balls. Siddharth Ghule was the leading scorer coming in at no.3 scoring 36 as no one below him were able to score big. Shinrai managed to reach a total of 154/7 in 20 overs which is anyday defendable in T20’s.
Chasing 155, Shinrai Bowlers did a commendable job and helped their team win the semi-finals as Nirlon got all-out for 135 in 19 overs. Left-arm spinner Jayshal Wadiyal was the pick of the bowlers taking 4/29 while all-rounder Rakesh Yadav contributed with his spin too as he picked up 3/20 in 4 overs. While Jayshal continued his good form from the Liberal Shield Tournament, Rakesh gave a perfect all-round performance to help their team win by 19 runs.
Rakesh Yadav was adjudged ‘man of the match’ for his all-round performance & Jayshal’s performance was also noteworthy. Looking at their current form, both these players will be surely to look out for in the finals of the tournament.
