A new Tournament to commence- Rushikesh Panchal U-12 Tournament in Mulund
News to rejoice for all the under 12 kids as a new tournament will kickstart soon by Mulund Gymkhana in Mumbai. Organized for the first time this year, this initiative will also help to groom and spot the underlying talent at a young age.
Named Rushikesh Panchal Under 12 Tournament, this is one of the welcome initiatives by the Mulund Gymkhana as it will give a better exposure to the under 12 kids to display their potential in full flow.
It’s an invitation based tournament comprising of six teams and starts on 11th of November, 2016 where in it will be only played on Friday, Saturday-Sundays and Monday. A total of 6 teams will be participating in the tournament and the competition will be in the form of 25 over matches. The tournament matches will be conducted on weekends and Mondays so the kids get enough time to balance their schedule as well as get some flexibility.
Vijay Panchal speaking to CricketGraph said, “This is a new beginning and we aim to run this tournament for many more years“. Ajay Kadam the head coach of Mulund Gymkhana too was very pleased with this initiative and said “It is very important for kids at this age to get all important match practice. There are some talented under 12 players participating in this tournament and should rub off well with other players”.
The 6 teams participating teams are Mulund Gymkhana, New Hind Cricket Club, Boys Cricket Club Dombivali, M.I.G Bandra, Dilip Vengeaskar Academy Mahul and Sanjivani Cricket Academy Bandra.
