VN Sule in command over Vibgyor
IES VN Sule school (English medium) locked horns against Vibgyor High School in the Harris Shield Elite Division match on 19th Jan. The first day of the match showcased a brilliant batting display by VN Sule amassing 286 in 61 overs. Sumedh Kamble (116 off 126 balls; Fours: 14) played the captain’s knock and received good support from Sairaj Surve who scored a quick fire 64 off just 55 deliveries. Daksh Agarwal was the pick of the bowlers for Vibgyor grabbing 3-77 in 22 overs.
In response, Vibgyor did not make the kind of start they would have wanted as they lost their first wicket early in the innings. Rohit Mane got rid of Shubham Chhag in the seventh over and the scoreboard read 26-1. Vibgyor closed day 1 for 44-1 in 15 overs.
Just like Day 1, VN Sule was in commanding position on Day 2 as well. Vibgyor was done and dusted for a paltry 110, trailing by a mammoth 176 runs, courtesy Shantanu Kadam’s five wicket-haul.
