FTL XI Enter Finals with a Solid 28-Run Win in Thane Premier League 2025 Semi-Final

Thane, May 9, 2025 — In a thrilling second semi-final of the Thane Premier League (TPL) 2025, FTL XI defeated Ambernath Rising Cricket Club by 28 runs at Dadoji Konddev Stadium, Thane, to book their spot in the finals.

After winning the toss, FTL XI elected to bat first and put up an impressive total of 221/5 in 20 overs. The batting hero of the match was Hardik Tamore, who smashed 71 runs in just 51 balls, including 8 fours and 2 sixes. He was well supported by Sairaj Patil (59 off 21 balls, 4 fours and 7 sixes) and Yatin Madhavi (55 off 39 balls, 4 fours and 3 sixes), helping their team set a huge target.

For Ambernath Rising C.C., Saksham Jha was the standout bowler, taking 3 wickets for 32 runs in his 4-over spell.

In reply, Ambernath Rising Cricket Club  fought hard but could only reach 193/9 in their 20 overs. Shubham Punyarthi top-scored with 52 runs off 34 balls, and Mayur Divekar contributed a quick 49 off 23 balls. However, the FTL XI bowlers kept their nerves and took regular wickets to maintain control.

Among the bowlers, Ajay Mishra was excellent, picking up 3 wickets for 36 runs, while Vikas Pandey and Arun Yadav took 2 wickets each to seal the win.
