Dilip Vengsarkar CA to clash against hosts SCA in the finals of U13 Reliance SCA Cup’19

Mumbai: Dilip Vengsarkar Cricket Academy, Oval will clash against hosts Sanjeevani Cricket Academy (SCA) in the final of the Reliance Health Insurance Sanjeevani Cricket Academy U-13 T-21 Cricket tournament played at the Saffire ground in Bhakti Park, Wadala. In the first semi-final, the ‘B’ team of SCA, riding on knocks from their opening batsmen Shreyansh Rai (26 off 39) and Rahil Mehta (25 off 35) scored 123 for 8. For Dilip Vengsarkar CA, Krish Kanawade bowled well, picking up three wickets. Kanawade then starred with the bat as well, scoring a fluent 56 off 44 balls as his team chased the target with four wickets in hand and three balls to spare to enter the final.

SCA dominated the other semi-final as they outplayed Pravin Tambe Cricket Academy by 128 runs. SCA’s in-form batsman, Hrishikesh Gore scored an attacking unbeaten 97 in 65 balls that was the highlight of the penultimate day. Gore was well supported by Sanskar Panaskar and Nihar Magre who chipped in with identical scores of 31 as SCA amassed 191 for 3. Pravin Tambe CA crumbled under pressure and were bowled out for just 63 in 15.5 overs. None of their batsmen could even reach a two-digit score. Krish Shah and Shourish Deshpande were in great rhythm as they picked up three wickets each to help SCA sail into the final.

The final will be played at the Saffire ground in Bhakti Park, Wadala on Saturday, 2nd March, 2019.
