Bhupen continues his blazing form with the bat with a yet another brilliant 130 in the U23 Shalini Bhalekar Tournament‘18
Bhupen is turning out to be one of the most dependable openers in Mumbai cricket as he has learned the art of anchoring the innings through thick and thin. Just recently he had scored an unbeaten hundred batting till the end for Bombay Gymkhana in Police Shield when wickets kept on loosing from the other end and now he continues his magic in the Shalini Bhalekar Tournament ’18.
Played at the KSA, Cross Maidan, Jehangir Pithawala XI could have not reached a total of 291/10 had it been their opener Bhupen not hitting a fluent ton at the top of the order. Bhupen scored 130 off 271balls anchoring the innings laced with 14fours in an innings when the 2nd highest score was 39.
In reply, Dilip Vengsarkar XI were all out for 142/10 as Bhupen’s ton helped his team reach a strong position in the match.
