ACA Sir Vizzy Trophy’18 Updates: Akhil Herwadkar and Jay Bista shine with the Bat to help Mumbai win Two Matches

In the match which was held on 30^th August vs ACA President XI, Mumbai won the toss and elected to field first restricting ACA to 267/6 in 50overs. Vijay Gohil with 3/36 was the pick of the bowlers while the rest of the bowlers also did a good job.

Chasing 268 runs, attacking opener Jay Bista opening the innings scored a match winning 120* off 138balls (7fours, 4sixes). Jay also good support from young batting sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal who scored a confident 60* off 76balls. Mumbai won the match by 9wkts in a dominating fashion while Jay Bista silently keeps on proving his mettle with the bat.

Mumbai then took on Jammu & Kashmir on 2^nd September wherein they bundled out Mumbai team for just 138runs in 44overs. All-Rounders Jay Bista and Shams Mulani took 3wkts each impressing with the ball. Mumbai team on the other hand chased down the score with ease as Akhil Herwadkar opening the innings scored an attacking 84* off 68balls smashing 6fours & 6sixes. Akhil has been piling on runs consistently and it was his another match winning fifty steering Mumbai team to a 9wkt win.
