Opener Shaurya Sharan plays an impressive knock of 67 for Amar C.C in the U/12 Bhaskar Trophy ‘18

Played between Amar Cricket Club and John Bright Cricket Club at the Club Aquaria ground, it was a crucial clash between two really talented teams where in John Bright won the toss and elected to field first with an aim of restricting the opposition to a low total.

However, Amar CC did a really good job batting first as they notched up a very healthy total of 181/4 in 25 overs which is anyday good to defend. Southpaw Shaurya Sharan who opened the innings looked really good scoring 63 off 85balls smashing 10fours in his 89mins stay at the crease. Shaurya set the tone for the innings with his confident batting which also included some good strokes. The rest of the batsman batted well around him chipping in with starts. From John Bright too, 4 bowlers came up with a wicket each.

Chasing 182 at almost 7.5runs per over, John Bright must have felt the pressure of chasing. Amar CC bowlers bowled really tight while also did good fielding resulting in 4run-outs which eventually bundled out John Bright boys for 84runs all out in 25 overs. From Amar CC too, it was a collectively good team efforts where in 5bowlers chipped in with a wicket each.
