Aniket and Pranav score solid fifties in a low scoring match vs Navroz CC in the Kanga League 2017
Played at the Azad Maidan Ground on 10th September in Mumbai, it was a match between two promising teams namely Sangam Sports Club and Navroz Cricket Club where in Navroz CC won the toss and put Sangam SC to bat first considering the vulnerable pitch and weather conditions in Mumbai.
Batting first, it wasn’t the best of the days in the office for Sangam SC boys as they were all out for 136/10 in 43.1 overs. Not a single batsman was able to score in 2digits apart from right-handers Aniket Yame (61 off 103balls, 2fours) at no.5 and Pranav Barge at no.7 (54 off 98{3fours}). Both these batsman not only scored solid half centuries but also stitched a somewhat match saving partnership of 104runs off 187balls. Had they not stitched this partnership, the whole team could have been all out in two digits. From the bowling side, it was a collective team perfomance where in Satyajit Yadav, Praful jadhav, Karan Patel & Saurabh Huddedar took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Sangam SC gave a terrific comeback with the ball to cover up their mess with the bat as they almost reduced the opposition to all-out and were quite near towards winning the match. Navroz CC were reduced to 98/8 in 42overs before the end of the game’s play and match ended in a draw. Randhir Tandel was the highest scorer with 38 while Vikrant Gupta chipped in with 3wkts in his 19overs (4maidens). Navroz CC felt just 2wkts short of winning a thrilling low scoring match while solid batting from Pranav and Aniket was the highlight perfomance of the match. Cricketgraph congratulates Pranav and Aniket while wishes luck to all the players for their upcoming matches.
