Good team work helps Salgaonkar Cricket Academy win the finals of the Lashkaria U/12 Tournament

Held at Santosh Sports Cricket Academy (SSCA) in Mumbai, it was the all important finals between Salgaonkar CC & Boys CC of the U/12 Laskharia little champs league where in Boys CC won the toss & elected to bowl first to put the opposition team under pressure by restricting them to a low total.

Batting first, it was a decent bowling perfomance as the Salgaonkar CC managed to score only 135/6 in 20 overs. Devesh mahadik & Nikhil Patil were the highest scorers with 28each while Mihir Patil and Vikram chipped in with 23 & 20 respectively. Sarthak Goregaonkar was the pick of the bowlers taking 2/28 followed by a wicket each for Vinay & Mrinal.

Chasing 136 is not the toughest of tasks but Salgaonkar Boys gave a excellent comeback with the ball as they restricted Boys CC to just 115/7 in 20 overs and won the match by 21 runs. Opener Shreyas scored a solid 37 while Vignesh also chipped in with a run a ball 34 but they lacked support from the other batsman. Vikram & Aryan were the pick of the bowlers taking 1/8 & 1/10 respectively while the rest of the bowlers also did a commendable job.

Salgaonkar CC won the finals of the tournament by 21 runs & it was a great team work displayed by the young kids. Cricketgraph congratulates the winning team while wishes luck to all the players for a great future ahead.
