90’s by Kundu & Sarthak alongwith Mann’s 6wkt haul steers Avinash Salvi Foundation to a win in the JCL U16 Tournament’21

Avinash Salvi Foundation opting to bat first at PIOC Cricket Ground in Pune posted a handsome total of 285/8 in 40 overs. Both the openers Abhigyan Kundu and Sarthak Dhamdere stitched a 198 run stand for the 1^st wicket in mere 25 overs changing the course of the game. Left-handed Kundu fell just 4 short of a deserving hundred getting out on 96 off 73 balls while Sarthak narrowly missed out on a well deserved hundred too getting dismissed for 92 runs in 99 balls.

Defending a total of 286, PIOC.JCL were bundled out for 75 runs in 31 overs courtesy a match winning bowling spell by Spinner Mann Bhanushali. Mann who was in Mumbai U14 Probables last year seems to be knocking the doors of Mumbai team with consistent performances throughout the year. Mann returned with bowling figures of 6/15 in 8 overs. Apart from Mann, Shubhangi and Vedant Gore chipped in with 2 wickets each.
