134 run stand between Ronak Shah & Nirav Gohel steers ASEGO to a win in JFSC Elite T20 Championship’21
ASEGO XI batting first at Vengsarkar Cricket Academy in Mumbai, Mahul posted a mammoth total of 223/7 in 20 overs. Opener Ronak Shah went all guns blazing hitting an electrifying knock of 98 runs in mere 49 balls falling just 2 short of a well deserved century. Ronak who smashed 14 fours and 4 sixes was well supported by no.3 batsman Nirav Gohel who played a blinder of an innings hitting 73 in mere 33 balls. Nirav who was man of the match in 1st match seems to be in a different zone with the bat as he smashed 7 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 220+.
From the bowlers, Pritam Shinde, Rohit Wagh and Rohan Bane bagged 2 wickets a piece. It was also good to see Ramesh Powar, the former Indian test Cricketer and a veteran of 470 first class wickets chipping in with 4 overs and still looking as active as he can at the age of 43.
Old Monks in reply managed 177/9 in 20 overs with a well crafted half century by Vijay Singh who scored 56 off 38 balls. Rohan Bane also contributed with the bat scoring a quickfire 36 off 18 balls.
- Result: Asego XI win by 46 runs
