Riding on Shubham Jhunjhunwala’s half century and a spirited effort by the bowlers, Young Star XI were able to defend a paltry total of 116 runs and won their league encounter of Monsoon Trophy against Brothers XI by 8 runs.
Batting first, Young Star XI managed 116 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Shivam Jhunjhunwala top scored with 56. Kshitij was the second highest contributor with 14 runs. Four bowlers from Brothers XI picked up a wickets each.
In reply, Brothers XI batting fell under the pressure created by the bowlers as they were all out with 8 runs still left to be scored. Lucky Chaudhry was the top scorer with 15 runs. Akash Deep captured 3 while Raghav Vashith captured 2 wickets for Young star XI.
Shubham Jhunjhunwala was adjudged man of the match for scoring a brilliant 56.
