Western Railways Player Deepak Kumar brings up the 1st ton of Samat T20 Cup’20
Played between Bombay Mercantile and Western Railway Teams, Western Railway batting first posted a handsome total of 182/3 in 20 overs. Opener Deepak Kumar went all guns blazing hitting a brilliant 128* off mere 70 balls. Not only was this the 1st ton of the Samat T20 Cup, this knock was also quite blazing as he tore apart bowlers with quite some confidence smashing 14 fours and 6 sixes.
Deepak shared with Cricketgraph– “I usually bat lower down the order but thanks to the faith and support instilled by our team Captain Chandras Manchekar, i was promoted to open the innings and it worked quite well”
Skipper Manchekar further quipped- “Deepak is one hard working player who specially travels from Haryana to pursue cricket in Mumbai. The amount of hard work and consistent performances he puts made him worthy to get promoted up the order & i personally believe in supporting young talents. Hence sending him to open the innings worked wonders for the team & what better way than to get the 1st hundred of Samat Cup! “
Bombay Mercantile in reply managed to score only 148/4 in 20 overs as Western Railways won the match by 34 runs while Deepak Kumar declared “Man of the Match”
