Wagh’s 114 outshines Sane’s 112 as PJ Hindu Emerge Victorious Against Police
Mumbai Police Gymkhana were beaten by PJ Hindu Gymkhana in the ongoing Police Shield. After being asked to bat first, Mumbai Police managed a total of 298 in 70 overs losing 8 wickets in the process. Ruturaj Sane continued his blistering form this season scoring an unbeaten 112*. He was well supported by Nadeem Shaikh who contributed 62. Rahul Sawant was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 3 wickets.
With a competitive total onboard, it was anyone’s game but PJ Hindu claimed it convincingly. Harsh Salunkhe and Viraj Jadhav’s contributed 38 each. After their dismissal, it was Sachin Wagh and Yogesh Dongre’s crucial partnership with sealed the game for PJ Hindu Gymkhana. Yogesh Dongre scored an unbeaten 60 as Sachin Wagh hammered an emphatic 114*. Eventually, PJ Hindu Gymkhana won the game with 6 wickets in hand and over 8 overs left.
