Vishal Merwana’s whirl wind knock of 59 in 22 balls sets a comfortable victory for Khadiyat Samaj

All of a sudden the temperatures have gone up. Its becoming hot to almost an unbearable extent especially in the afternoons in Mumbai these days and the same was almost in store in the Kapol Premier League 2015 Group D match 6th league played on March 22nd 2015. Khambat Samaj found Khadiyat Samaj too hot to handle and went down tamely in the end. Right from the moment when Khadiyat Samaj won the toss and put Khambat Samaj in, it was day everything went right for them and dictated terms right from the word go. Khambat managed 145 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs with respectable contribution from Nakul who made 40 runs and 24 runs by Dharmesh and 20 runs by Bhavin.

Viren was the wrecker in Chief for Khadiyat samaj with 4 scalps for 16 runs in 4 overs. 2 wickets each for Devank and Chetan and Khadiyat samaj justified the decision to bowl first.

In reply the reply of Khadiyat samaj was not just an reply. It was a statement. Vishal Merwana smashed 59 runs in 21 balls ( 8 boundaries and 4 sixes) wasted no time to finish the match in the 14th over. Bhavin chipped in with 26 and Vishal shah scored an important 31. Dharmesh of Khambat samaj picked up 2 wickets.

It was a match that got over well before in time and I am sure Khadiyat samaj team might have used the spare time to applaud each other for their terrific effort.

No prizes for guessing the Man of the match. It had to be Vishal for running very less during his whirlwind knock.
