The state level tournaments have begin marking the start of the cricket season and the U19 Mumbai team is currently playing the Dhruv Pandove Selection Tournament where a few of the Mumbai boys are making a mark.
In the match were Mumbai took on Punjab on 31st Aug ‘18, Punjab posted a big total of 436 on the back of Arjun Azad’s 151 and Prabsimran’s 101. Little dynamo Musheer Khan who may be the youngest from both the sides bowled really well taking 4/110 in 26.2overs. Chasing 437, the openers gave a decent start with Pragnesh who came at no.3 followed it up with a 69ball 56. Hashir Dafedar who came at no.4 scored an elegant 136 off 208balls (11fours) which almost helped the Mumbai team win the match. Hashir as always played some classy strokes en-route his ton though Mumbai fell short of 33runs.
In the match vs Baroda which started on 28th August ‘18, Mumbai were given a target of 341 on the back of Vasudev Patel’s 150. Mumbai team in reply were all out for 274runs with the ever consistent Pragnesh fighting it out scoring 118 off 180balls. Pragnesh who came at no.3 smashed 11fours and 2sixes though the efforts fell short as Mumbai lost the match by 65runs while chasing.
