In the E division clash between The Times of India Sports Club against Mumbai Port Trust, Times won the toss and elected to field. MPT batsmen played well and scored 253 in 45 overs. Leading scorers were Deepak Kamble scoring 77 runs of 71 balls hitting 9 fours . Gajendra K scored 80 runs off 85 balls with the help of 10 Fours and Lobhas C chipped in at the fag end with 30 off 35 balls.
Most of the Times bowlers were scored off badly at an overall average of 6 per over. Sandip Vaity finished off with 9 -41 – 2 wickets; speedster Prassana Shetty 7-49-2wickets and Anil Khushwa with 9 over – 47 runs – 2 wickets.
Times Batters started off slowly but never looked in command. The only notable performance was that from P. Mohite who missed out on half century and fell for 48 runs and Anil Khushwa fell for 41 runs of 48 runs. Times team was all out in 38.3 overs for 165.
Leading wicket taker was Premanth Chavan picking up 5 wickets off 9 overs and giving only 39 runs. He was supported well by Kiran Pednekar who finished off with 9 -30-2
