The Vikings XI Emerge Victorious Against The Shippoars Shipping

The Vikings XI had a close encounter against the Shippoars Shipping. An enthralling battle between the two teams saw the former win by just 15 runs.

Batting first,  The Vikings hammered 229 in 30 overs, just losing 3 wickets. Openers Shoaib and Ajjay Solanki set the tone  with a partnership of 82. Shoaib fell short of a fifty by just 5 runs as Ajjay scored 32 at a strike rate of 132. Coming in number 3, Nitil  scored 61 off 55 with 2 maximums. His 126 run partnership with Ricky Sehrawat propelled the Vikings to the stiff total of 229. Sehrawat faced 48 balls but hit 10 of them for boundaries and ended up scoring 62.  Allowing Vikings to scorw at a run rate of 7.73, it was a disappointing bowling performance by the Shippoars Shipping. 

Nitin Kasana provided a flying start to the run chase. Scoring 70 at an aggressive strike rate of 205, Kasana hit 8 fours and 5 sixes in his incredible innings. With opener Sidhant Sharma, they shared an opening partnership of 99 in just 9 overs.  After the fall of Nitin Kasana, Tarun Chhonekar took over and scored 62 off just 54 but while he was adding runs to his name, the other side fell apart. There was a huge shift in momentum and the Shippoars Shipping were found wanting. Ultimately, they fell short by just 15 runs as they were bowled out with 8 balls to spare. A late comeback in the game sealed the deal for the Vikings. Lakshay Bubna and Himanshu had 2 wickets each to their name but the star being Karamveer Solanki who gave away only 28 runs in his 6 overs with 3 scalps.
