Talented Sagar Chabaria’s timely ton while chasing steers MIG to a win in the U19 Manohar Sawant Trophy‘18

Played at the young Zoraoastrian, Azad Maidan, U19 Karnatak and U19 MIG took on each other with U19 Karnatak team winning the toss and electing to bat first with an aim of making a big 1^st innings total.

However, they suffered a collapse of sorts with 3wkts down for 9runs at one point. Luckily Samprat (43), Nisarg Atak with a solid 59 and Ravikant Jaisar (33*) at the middle order rescued their team from a harrowingly low total. The bowlers did an excellent job with left arm spinner Shoeb Khan being the pick of the bowlers with 3/21 while Bhushan and Abhishek bagging 2wkts each.

Chasing 190, right-handed Sagar Chabaria who opened the innings took care of the chase as he went on to score a solid 101* off 125balls. Sagar who smashed 10fours toiled hard between the wicket and kept the scoreboard ticking anchoring the chase successfully till the end as MIG won the match by 6wkts in 41.1 overs.

It was a clean win for MIG while opener Sagar impressed one and all with his solid batting.
