Talented Ishan Mithbavkar blasts a 69ball ton in the semi-finals of Milan T20 Gymkhana Mega Corporate Tournament‘18

After a grueling season, it was time for the all important semis between Abbott and Barhringer where in Abott team won the toss and elected to bat first on the back of their strong batting line up and post a big total to defend.

Even though the openers failed to give a good start, it was their talented no.3 batsman Ishan Mithbavkar who has been in excellent form in 2018 continuing his good form. Ishan delivered at the right time under pressure as he went on to score a brilliant as well as a match winning 100* off mere 69balls. Ishan counter attacked the bowlers smashing 16boundaries while he also did good running between the wickets keeping the scoreboard ticking. He was also supported well by Shantanu C who scored an unbeaten 48* off 30balls while also being part of an unbeaten 128 run stand with Ishan taking the team total to a healthy 172/2 in 20overs.

Defending a total of 173, Abbott bowlers also did a fantastic job as they restricted the opposition to just 101all out in 16overs. Shantanu C engaged in an all-round perfomance also taking 3wkts while conceding only 15runs in 4overs with a maiden while Amol D bowled one of the most important bowling spells coming up with envious bowling figures of 4/7 in 3overs while sandesh also bagged 2wkts. The bowlers were really tight especially Shantanu and Amol giving breakthroughs at regular intervals.

Abbott team wins the semi-finals while Ishan and Shantanu Chaudhary stealing the show single handedly along with Amol’s fantastic bowling.
