Sunil Lakka (62) & Devang Acharya (52) steer Abbott to a win in T40 Chanawala Corporate Tournament’22
Abbott Healthcare opting to bat first at Azad Maidan posted a total of 230/10 in 37.4 overs. Even though, they lost some quick top order wickets, Sunil Lakka, Devang Acharya and Swapnil Yelve at the middle order brough their back into the game. Sunil Lakka scored 62 off 45 balls coming at no.5 while Devang and Swapnil at no.6 and 7 scored 52 and 44 runs respectively. Their 67run stand for the 7th wicket certainly pushed the team towards a defendable position. Achleshwar Maurya and Amir Shaikh with 3 wkts each were the pick of the lot.
New Way Travels in reply were cleaned up for 111 runs courtesy some tight bowling by Abbott bowlers. Sandesh Bhoir with 3/15 in 6 overs was the pick of the lot. Sandesh and Sudesh also bagged 2wkts each.
Abbott Healthcare won the match by 119 runs while Sunil Lakka was declared ‘man of the match’
