Shashwat Pathak and Rishit Patwal Help SPY Triumph Over Kandivali CA in Govardhandas Trophy

Shivaji Park Youngsters SC won over the Kandivali CA at the Sainath Sports Club in the MCA Govardhandas Tournament. After winning the toss, SPY won the toss and elected to bat first and scored a competitive total of 153 in 20 overs. Opener Shashwat Pathak gave a steady start by scoring 44 off 41 deliveries. After few quick wickets, it was Rishit Patwal’s chance to come in and contribute. Patwal hammered a crucial 47 off 40 going down the order with 2 fours and 3 sixes. Their partnership is what kept them in the game. 

Kandivali CA found it difficult as SPY bowled tight lines and restricted the batsmen from playing freely. Abhishek Valia contributed 51* off 46 deliveries but his innings was in vain as his team were short by 14 runs. Economical spells by Rutik Rathod, Abhishek Yadav and Shashank Jadhav saw the SPY clinch victory and qualify for the quarter finals.
