Slow-Left armer Yash Mahale impresses one and all with his 6wkt haul vs Rizvi SC in the Kanga League ‘17
Played at the Bharat CC, Shivaji Park in Dadar, it was a match between Rizvi Sports Club and New Hindu Cricket Club where in New Hindu CC won the toss and elected to bowl first considering the bowler friendly wicket and the vulnerable weather conditions.
Batting first, New Hindu CC struggled as they managed to score only 123/10 in 32 overs where in opener Amit Tase top scored with 36. Slow-left spinner Yash Mahale once again proved with his bowling that left arm spinners are indeed special! Yash bowled an excellent spell of 6/33 in 8 overs which did the maximum damage. He turned the ball really well and bowled in the right areas which reaped him a lot of rewards.
In reply, New Hindu CC chased down the score and made 128/1 in 39 overs and declared their innings. Opener Omkar Jadhav scored a solid 48*(1four) while no.3 batsman Satish Nair scored an elegant 66* off 109balls (6fours). Rizvi SC were 21 for no loss in the 2nd innings before the end of the game’s play where in New Hindu CC won the match on 1st innings. It was a comfortable victory for the New Hindu Boys but it was Yash’s bowling which remain the highlight perfomance of the match.
