Ayush Jethwa the ‘all-rounder’ we all know by know is not being featured for the first time. Ayush has been a consistent performer in the last few seasons and he is all set for a big leap in the field of cricket. Not only is this kid extremely useful with the ball, he bats like a pro too & on his day he can single-handedly take a match away from the opposition with his all-round skills. He was recently also the recipient of Fireblaze Junior Cricket Awards presented by Cricketgraph.

Ayush who had scored 1425 runs in 25 matches in 2016 with as many wickets was also in the news currently for scoring 156 against IES Bandra in Giles Shield Tournament in January, 2017. But seems like he is not done yet and the boy seems to have become ‘media’s’ darling as he again comes in the limelight with a promising all-round performance in the recently held Vijay Tulpule Cricket Tournament. Ayush was the skipper representing Naren Tamhane’s XI and he played the captain’s role to perfection in the series. In the 3 matches Ayush played, he grabbed two wickets in the 1st match, the last two matches were quite memorable as he took 4wickets in the 2nd match against Ramnath Keni’s XI where in he also took a fabulous hat-trick in the 2nd innings. It was because of his bowling the opposition was all out for just 96 & led his team to a victory comfortably.

In the 3rd match against Vasu Paranjpe’s XI, Ayush elected to bat first and he decided to open the innings as he wanted to leave behind a mark with the bat too before the series ends. Ayush scored a scintillating 94 off just 82 balls which included 11 fours and 1 six and was out trying to hit a six and fell just 5 short of what could have been a memorable century. He also bowled well taking 2 wickets for 22 runs in 7overs. It was a good match for Ayush though his team had lost that match as JSH Ganiga had scored a match-winning 90 for his side.

In the final day, esteemed guests like Dilip Vengsarkar, Amol Muzumdar, Gaitonde Sir and Vasu Paranjpe were present. The guests enjoyed the last day’s play and also distributed awards to the players.

Ayush has been nothing short of excellent in his short journey of cricket so far & he looks all poised to achieve great heights in the field of cricket.
