Singh-Chavda Duo Help Spartans To A Dominant Win
The Spartans had a dominating night in the The ongoing IDFC First Bank Member’s Premier League for MCA RC BKC members against Hemant Tools Tornados. Batting first Spartans scored a staggering total of 204 losing just 5 wickets in 20 overs. Opener Vijay Singh provided a flying start as he scored 88 off just 57 balls. Singh also hit 12 boundaries with 3 sixes at a rate of 154. Apart from him, Siddharth Chavda managed to chip in a quick half century off just 34 balls with 7 boundaries. Together, they formed a match winning partnership of 127 runs. Skipper Jeetinder Diwan gave the finishing touch as he scored 20 off just 9 balls.
There were a few positives for the Tornados despite the expensive bowling sheet. Sachin Deshpande was the best of the lot by picking 2 wickets in 4 overs. With a subpar bowling display, the Tornados had their work cut out.
Hemant Tools Tornados’ Preet Singh started off the innings by scoring 37 in 33. Vishal Miglani chipped in 34 as well but apart from them , no other batsmen got going as Spartans managed to comfortably win the game by 54 runs.
Paresh Shah bowled a superb spell of 3/16 in 4 overs. Apart from him, the bowling was on song to restrict the Tornados batsman.
Vijay Singh was adjudged as the Man of the Match.
