Siddharth Sood steers OIS Tigers to a 6-wicket win against Camp Rangers
In the Zooter International School Dad’s Tournament, OIS Tigers emerged victorious against Camp Rangers on Saturday at Air India Sports Club, Santacruz, Mumbai. Riding on Siddharth Sood’s brilliant bowling performance, OIS Tigers restricted Camp Rangers to 123-6 in 20 overs. Opening bat Amish Dani (31) got off to a solid start, however failed to receive any support from the other batsmen except for Anish Bhansali who scored run a ball 22. For OIS Tigers, Siddhart Sood was the star performer with the ball as he picked up 3-19 in his four overs. The right arm offie bowled a good line and length and reaped the sweet fruits of his hard work. Nitesh Bhasin and Nishith Parashar chipped in one and two wickets respectively.
In reply, OIS Tigers seemed to be in a jiffy as they chased down the target in just 11.1 overs winning the match clinically by six wickets. The opening pair of Vicky Sujan (25) and Anuj Gupta (29) set the foundation for the batsmen to follow. Ajit Virwani played a cameo scoring 20 off 15, smashing three boundaries. Jothi Krishnan was the pick of the bowlers for Camp Rangers scalping 2-21 in his two overs.
OIS Tigers registered a comfortable win over Camp Rangers, thanks to Siddharth Sood’s excellent bowling. Sood, who was awarded with the Man of the Match exclaimed, “Zooter International School Dad’s Tournament is a very innovative platform where cricket lovers get to relish their favourite sport. The facilities provided by Zooter are amazing and it is fun to be a part of this. Air India wicket has always been good and I love playing here. Today the wicket was really good for bowling and I am happy that I rolled my arm well to pick up three wickets”.
