SHARAT NAYAK’s all-round perfomance derails Loreal in the Dreamz T20 Tournament

The M.B Union Ground in Mumbai witnessed an exciting competition between two competitive teams namely Loreal & AIDEM. Loreal. on a neutral track like MB Union won the toss & elected to bat first in order to post a big total on the board & put AIDEM/ zirca under pressure.

Batting first, Loreal managed to score 141/9 in 20 overs which is not the biggest of scores to defend in the T20 format. Opener Rishi scored a solid 86 off just 69balls to stabilize the innings but the rest of the batsman just crumbled below him. It was a one man show by their opener as not a single batsman apart from Rishi managed to score more than 10 runs on the board. All-rounder Sharat Nayak (right-arm fast) was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 4/29 in 4 overs. Sharad was spot on & bowled tight in the right areas taking the wickets of important batsman. Kushal (2/20) & Vishal (1/17) also supported Sharat nicely to make it a collective team effort.

Chasing 143, it did not prove to be the toughest of tasks though they did felt some jitters as they lost 5wkts before they completed the chase. The top 3 batsman did not give the best of the starts but the middle order & lower order resurrected the innings to some extent. Sharat Nayak & Sachin stitched an important partnership which acted as a crucial point in their innings. While Sharad scored a quick 23 ball 35, Sachin supported Sharat well with a 25ball 19. Rohan also chipped in with an unbeaten 7ball 20*(2sixes) to steer his team towards the victory line. The bowlers were economical with Rupesh, Yash & Malay taking a wicket each but it required a more than economical bowling to win the match.

AIDEM won the match by 5wkts & Sharat Nayak was declared ‘man of the match’ for his all-round contribution. Cricketgraph congratulates Sharat as well as the whole team for their thrilling win & wishes them to continue their good form for a long long time.
