Roshan Ade’s All-Round brilliance guides RCC Navi Mumbai Panvel to a win

On January 15, RCC Navi Mumbai Panvel took on RCC Rangers during the Champions League 2023. RCC Navi Mumbai Panvel won the toss and elected to bat at the Roadpali Sports Complex in Panvel.

Batting first, RCC Navi Mumbai Panvel were bowled out for 130 in 18.4 overs. Captain Roshan Ade starred with the bat for RCC Navi Mumbai Panvel. Ade muscled 41 off 22, hitting three fours and four sixes. For RCC Rangers, Somveer was the wrecker-in-chief with the ball, claiming 10/4 in four overs.

Chasing 131, RCC Rangers were bundled out for 98 in 17.3 overs and lost the match by 32 runs. RCC Rangers’ Haresh Nikhare fought hard for his 23 but failed to take his side home. For RCC Navi Mumbai Panvel, their captain, Roshan Ade, again led from the front with the ball. Ade picked up 9/5 in 3.3 overs.

Cricket is a sport that Juili picked up right from her childhood days. Her journey from playing with the boys in the compound walls to practising under the able aegis of Jonty Rhodes has been a spectacular one.
She was a part of Mumbai Women’s U-19 and U-23 probables during her four-year stint at the MCA. As a middle order bat and a part time medium pace bowler, she also represented Mumbai University at All-India University Women’s Cricket for two years.

In the quest of further education, she discontinued with the sport. Currently she is pursuing her Ph.D in Finance from IIT Bombay’s School of Management.
