The Crowdfunding for Cricket Campaign is for Jahangir Ansari is a Professional Cricketer who has represented Mumbai U14 & U16 Team. Jehangir was in the same Mumbai U14 team which had Arjun Tendulkar as his team mate. Jehangir was also in the Mumbai U19 Probables while he is currently preparing for the U23 Age group. Everything was going right for the young man until the coronavirus lockdown which was implemented from March made things difficult for him. Jehangir used to stay in Agripada, Navi Mumbai with his brother Sattar who used to run a small tailoring shop in Navi Mumbai. However, due to lockdown, the shop got shut and both the brothers Jahangir & Sattar had to go back to his hometown in Jharkhand. Jehangir comes from a modest background and his father works as a laborer in a construction site.

In his early days, Jahangir was declared the “Best Fast Bowler” in Harris Shield while he has also played state level tournaments like U14 West Zone & Vijay Merchant Trophy. Jehangir was also in U16 West Zone BCCI Camp while he has played all the major MCA selection tournaments in Mumbai’s club cricket. In the recently concluded Kale Cup, he was also declared “man of the match” in one of the matches.

Jehangir wants to make a comeback to Mumbai and for that he needs an academy to practice, cricket goods and a place to stay. Speaking with Cricketgraph- Jahangir said “I want to come back to Mumbai and start playing again. However, with my brother’s shop being shut, we need to again find a place to live. I will do a job and practice simultaneously but for the first few months we need some financial backing till everything falls into place”

The total cost of Crowdfunding for Cricket Campaign for Jehangir to make a comeback in Mumbai Cricket would be approximately Rs 50,000/– . It includes proper cricket goods & 6 to 8 months of rent for a small place which he would rent for living.
