Prasad’s Knock Helps Cricket Club of Dombivali Get Off The Mark in 2023 Friendship Trophy

In the ongoing 2023 Friendship Trophy, Mulund Knockers faced the Cricket Club of Dombivili. Mulund Knockers batted first and could manage only 115 runs in 20 overs. Rohan Chavan was the pick of the batsmen by scoring 40 off just 31. On the bowling side, Mangesh Surve (2/25) and Tusharr L Patil (2/24) bowled tight spells helping CCD restrict Mulund Knockers claiming 7 wickets.

Cricket Club of Dombivli made quick work of the target by chasing it under 15 overs at a rapid rate. Opener Prasad Sawant started off the innings in a flying manner by scoring 38 off just 20 balls. Apart from hi, his opening counterpart Sandesh Patange cruised along with a 37-ball-40 with 4 fours and a six. After their dismissal, Deepak Acaharya finished off the innings with a quick-fire 38 off just 27 balls, winning the game by 8 wickets.

Prasad was adjudged as the Man of the Match.
