Akash Parkar is a Maharashtrian Twenty20 Cricketer who made his T20 debut for Mumbai on 1st April 2015 against Odisha. Parkar made his List A debut for Mumbai in the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 5th February 2018 and is known for his raw power hitting. Last year, he had given some mind blowing performances both with the bat as well as with the ball. Parkar’s 40 ball 68 when Mumbai North East were on the verge of losing or his 37 ball 82* at no.7 which had 6 sixes vs Sobo Supersonics is still fresh in the opposition’s mind. Adding icing on the cake, he is an equally dangerous bowler, he had also taken a fifer last year in the DY Patil T20 Tournament’19

Sairaj made his T20 debut for Mumbai team on 29th January 2017 and is often feared by the bowlers during the death overs. Last year, he gave some quickfire cameos and also gained a lot of fame for his ability to hit picture perfect helicopter shots which he often describes as “Hawai Dhamaka”
He is the ideal batsman for any team between 15 to 20 overs as he can lend finishing touch to the innings much similar like how Hardik Pandya did this season for Mumbai Indians.

A budding all-rounder who plays for Mumbai Ranji team, he is known to be one of the swashbuckling batsmen in his age category. Known to be a lethal striker of the ball who can hit the most gorgeously powerful shots, Jay also has his own version of “Bista Scoop” which is hailed by many as the new stroke of the town. Jay had also smacked some whirlwind knocks last year and taken on fast bowlers with quite some confidence.
At the top of the order, if not taken his wicket early, he can change the game in a matter of few overs.

Rudra Dhanday

67 ball 203 (in T20), 80 ball 130 (in 45 over game), 204 off 193 balls (In 2day test) are some of his big scores in the last few years. Rudra who has played for Mumbai team at various age levels also holds the record for fastest double hundred in India when he scored a 67 ball 200 in the Mumbai University Inter College Tournament at the Matunga Gymkhana Ground. Opening the innings for Rizvi College, Dhanday’s double ton was laced with 21 boundaries and 15 sixes.
The youngster will certainly be a player to watchout for as he looks promising to pounce on the opportunity given to him at the big stage.

Swapnil Salvi (RHB)

Swapnil Salvi is one of the ideal wicket-keeper batsmen to have in your Playing XI. Not only quite effective and vigilant behind the stumps, the right-hander is also one brutal hitter of the cricket ball. In the recently concluded Prabodhan T20 Tournament, he had smashed 2 fifties in 3 matches out which one included a belligerent 71* off mere 20 balls in the finals which had as many as 8 sixes while the other one was a 20 ball 51 vs Payyade CC in the league round. Even in the ongoing Thane Premier league, Swapnil smashed a 25 ball 53 for Maharashtra Cricket Academy at a time when rest of the batters were struggling to score runs!

Sujit Nayak

A former Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai cricketer, Sujit Nayak is a tall well built left hander who can hit some stylish and effortless sixes on the back of brute power which he possesses. Coming from a cricketing family himself, cricket runs in his blood and Nayak idolizes Yuvraj Singh with whom he shares a very similar batting stance.
Apart from registering the highest score in Mumbai T20 last year hitting a brilliant 99*, Sujit Nayak has consistently proved to be a T20 specialist batsman with some good performances in the DY Patil T20 tournament too. In 2016, Sujit had smashed 3 tons in Purshottam Shield and all had come at a strike rate of 100.00+
Can take on the fast bowlers with ease and can be quite dangerous in the 2nd half of the T20 innings (i.e between 10 to 20 overs) as he can smash those lusty blows to change the momentum.

A tall, well-built & a powerful left-hander who comes at the middle order, Alpesh Ramjani is one of those players who can be quite effective with the bat as well as with the ball. Ramjani’s 34 ball 64* which had 5 sixes while chasing 195 last year vs Sobo Supersonics had helped Shivaji Park Lions win the match. In that match, he displayed some exquisite hitting and he will certainly play a handy role for Eagle Thane Strikers this year!

A reckoning force with the bat at the local level, Parag has been a consistent performer across various MCA tournaments. Last year, when Arcs Andheri were struggling at 16/4, Parag came in to bat and took on the bowlers hitting a fluent 38 ball 69 changing the game from nowhere. At no.6 he came be quite dangerous and he also holds the ability to hit powerful sixes.

Raunaq Sharma in the latest DY Patil T20 Cup had scored a brilliant 48* off 22 which had 5 sixes. It also included some consecutive biggies which had helped Future Group win the match from nowhere. Apart from that knock, he has also given some great individual performances in the MCA Tournaments at the local level. Raunaq is also a good spinner and a great fielder while he can be very attacking with the bat in the death overs.

If there is any left-hander in Mumbai Cricket who can mix elegance with power, it has to be MIG Skipper Kevin Almeida. The southpaw has many shots in his arsenal and can often dismantle bowlers with his wide array of shots. Kevin’s flick shots and cuts are often a treat to the eyes. A consistent scorer in the longer formats of the game, he often plays with a healthy strike rate too!.
In the recent finals of Palghar Dhanu Premier League’19, Kevin had smashed a quickfire 76* off 32 balls which had as many as 7 sixes! Hence, he will surely be a player to watchout for!

Once he sets his eyes in, he can be a very dangerous batsman, the 25yr old Mumbai all-rounder became only the 3rd batsman in India in 2016 after Yuvraj Singh and Ravi Shastri to hit six sixes in an over which is a testimony of his big hitting abilities. Apart from that too, he has been a crucial all-rounder in the MCA tournaments. Even though there are many performances to note, but his 103 & 6/47 in the Purshottam Shield’18 was amonsgt the best all-round performances in the recent past.

Not only is he the youngest player to get auctioned in the T20 Mumbai’19, Suryansh is also known as the Hitman in his age category. Apart from scoring the fastest triple hundred wherein he scored 326* off mere 137 balls in the Harris Shield a few years ago, he has consistently played aggressive cricket at a very healthy strike rate even at the State Level.
An aggressive top order batsman who can be equally destructive if the situation requires, Suryansh can give those good starts or crucial cameos at any position which every team desires for. A consistent scorer at the local level, this wonder kid will be a batsman to watch out for.
