P.G wins as Bravish (90) and Akarshit (77) engage in blazing batting while Aiswarya Surve bags a fifer in the RFS TALYARKHAN Semis ‘18
Parsee Gymkhana and PJ Hindu Gymkhana took on each other for the all important semi finals of the RFS Talyarkhan Tournament where in PJ Hindu Gymkhana won the toss and elected to field first with an aim of restricting the opposition to a low total.
However, Parsee Gymkhana are blessed with two really dependable and dangerous openers who can change the game in a span of few overs. Yes-the duo of Bravish Shetty and Akarshit Gomel gave a flying start with a very quick 126run stand. Bravish engaged in pure hitting as he smashed a regal 90 off just 37balls smashing 11fours and 5sixes dominating the bowlers in every corner of the ground. On the other hand, Akarshit also took on the bowlers with will smashing 77 off mere 43balls laced with 8fours and 3sixes. Shams Mulani who has reinvented himself as a T20 hitter once again gave a finishing touch scoring 43 off 23balls(6fours, 1six) taking the team total to a very healthy 236/8 in 20overs. From the bowlers, Atul Singh with 4/45 in 4 overs was the pick of the bowlers.
Chasing 237 in a T20 game is always difficult but PJ Hindu Gymkhana gave a really tough fight managing to score 199/10 in 20 overs. PJ Hindu Gymkhana batsmen gave their best with the destructive hitman Aman Khan once again sweating it out with a 34ball 73 hitting 5biggies and 6fours in it. Quickster Aiswarya Surve was simply brilliant with the ball taking 5/37 in 4overs which helped Parsee Gymkhana win by 37runs. This is not the 1st time Aiswarya Surve has taken a fifer in a T20 game & it just shows his ability on how dangerous he can be with the ball.
Parsee Gymkhana win the semis and it was surely Bravish and Akarshit with the bat and Aiswarya with the ball being the game changers.
