Oriental Insurance Shield Tournament begins from April 19, 2022

Mumbai: The Oriental Insurance Sports Club will be organizing the 10^th Insurance Shield T20 Inter-Office Cricket Tournament, under the aegis of MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) starting from April 19, 2022.

Jitendra Ingle, Joint Secretary of Oriental Insurance Sports Club in a media release mentioned that a total of 20 Senior (Plate Group) and Junior (Elite Group) office teams will be participating in this tournament, which will be played on a league-cum-knockout basis.

“In the Plate Group only players employed with the particular office will be eligible to represent their respective teams. The main intention of organising the Elite Group is to motivate office clubs to provide a platform to young talented players of Mumbai. The offices have the liberty to select upcoming talented players, either through scholarships or on a contractual basis to represent their respective office teams,” explained Ingle, who is the Chairman of MCA Office Clubs Sub-Committee..

All the Matches will be played as per the New Model Rules of the Mumbai Cricket Association.
