Opener Nishikant Sawant smacks a 61 ball 111* in the T20 Masters Cup’19

Vinayak Marine Services opting to bat first at Vengsarkar Academy, Mahul notched up 172/6 in 20 overs. Rakesh Trivedi with a 42 ball 59* at no.5 was the highest scorer while the rest of the batsman gave starts. All-rounder Nishikant with 2/27 in 4 overs was the pick of the bowlers.

Chasing 173 which is quite a decent t20 total, Nishikant opening the innings for Kotak Mahindra Bank ensured the chase was taken care of. Nishikant went on to score a brilliant 111* off 61 balls which had 10 fours and 7 sixes at a healthy strike rate of 181.97.

It was Nishikant’s dominating performance which helped Kotak chase down the total in just 17.5 overs winning the match by 7 wkts.
