Mumbai Customs’ Swapnil Pradhan, Sachin Yadav & Ankush Jaiswal star in MCA Corporate Trophy’22
On May 24 and 25, Mumbai Customs Sports Club took on Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) in the MCA Corporate Tournament. Mumbai Customs won the toss and elected to field first.
Put in to bat, BPCL plundered 305 runs in 54.3 overs before they were bowled out. Harshal Jadhav (82) and Sahil Jadhav (71) muscled delectable half-centuries to power their team to a fighting score. On the other hand, Ankush Jaiswal was the pick of the bowlers for Mumbai Customs. The off-spinner claimed 5-79 in 20 overs, including one maiden.
In reply, Mumbai Customs put up a strong show with the bat as they put together 3-187 in 52 overs. Though the match ended in a draw, Mumbai Customs were declared winners based on a better quotient. Swapnil Pradhan (72) and Sachin Yadav (51) smashed brilliant half-centuries. They stitched a 94-run opening stand to set the foundation for the run chase in the process. On the other hand, Praful Devkate starred with the ball for BPCL. Devkate accounted for 2-37 in 13 overs, including four maidens.
Swapnil Pradhan, Sachin Yadav, and Ankush Jaiswal were the top performers. The trio helped Mumbai Customs’ win based on a better quotient in MCA Corporate Tournament.
