Mitsui Day 8: Rakesh, Gaurish, Kevin, Aman and Eknath turn out to be the heroes for their respective teams!
The day 8 had 3 matches being played and the best part was each & every match was nail biting. There were some great individual performances while also a great teamwork was witnessed. While in the afternoon match between Bandra heroes & Mumbai Police cityriders, Aman Khan who is possibly in one of the finest forms of his life smashed a 66 off mere 23balls (6fours,5sixes) while the talented Kevin Almeida finally marks his presence as he stitched a gigantic partnership with Aman as he scored a mind-numbing 93 off just 27balls which included 12 big sixes. Kevin was surely on course to score one of the fastest hundreds ever. The afternoon match between Mumbai Police & Ghatkopar Jets also witnessed some great performances as middle order Batsman Gaurish Jadhav smashed an entertaining 106 off mere 51balls which included 10sixes. Though his knock went for a losing cause as all-rounder Rakesh Prabhu from Mumbai Police took 4wkts & scored a match-winning 55 off just 22ball coming down the order to help his team defeat Ghatkopar boys. The 3rd match was between Thane Maratha & Shivaji Park Warriors where almost every batsman of Thane chipped in with 30’s & 40’s helping them score a decent target but opener Eknath Kerkar’s breezy 66 for Shivaji Park helped them win the match.
