Minesh Shah & Behzad deliver in the semis as CCI defeats Osian’s in the Gannon Dunkerley Tournament ‘18
Played at the Vengsarkar Academy, Mahul, it was the all important semi finals of the Gannon Dunkerley T20 Tournament which has been quite a success with some amazing matches and individual performances. Two of the most promising teams-Osians who have been really consistent in their teamwork and CCI which is a very balanced side took on each other where in CCI won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Osian CC batting first were off to a good start on the back of their in-form Vishal Shah who scored a quickfire 35 but the rest of the batsmen just gave starts but were not able to convert it into impactful scores which can take the team total to 180-200. From the bowlers, Minesh Shah from CCI bowled one of the economical spells you can come across in a T20 as his bowling figures read 3/16 in 4overs which are anyday impressive in a T20 Game. Minesh bowled in the right areas and what’s more his 3wkts consisted of a hat-trick which changed the game in a span of 6balls. The rest of the bowlers also did a fairly decent job.
Chasing 147, CCI chased down successfully and won the semi-finals by 4wkts as Behzad Devadwala top scored with a solid 44 off 38balls at no.3. The rest of the batsman chipped in with 20’s which did the job for CCI.
CCI qualify for the finals and Minesh Shah was declared ‘man of the match’ for his economical bowling spell which also included a hat trick.
