Left-arm spinner Sarvesh Bhatkar’s 4/21 steers Earth Matrix to a win in the Dreamz T20 Tournament
Played at the LIC Cricket Ground in Mumbai, Earth Matrix & Clover Infotech clashed for an important encounter where in Clover Infotech won the toss & elected to bat first. The pitch was a little tricky and it was a low scoring yet an interesting match to watch.
Batting first, Clover Infotech were all out for just 115/10 in 19.4 overs. None of the batsman could convert their starts into half centuries and the bowlers were doing a terrific job of staying economical as well as taking wickets at the right time. Left-arm spinner Sarvesh Bhatkar was the pick of the bowlers coming up with excellent bowling figures of 4/21 in his 4 overs. Sarvesh was so effective with the ball that he took 2 wickets in his very 1st over. Amit also came up with stunning bowling figures where in he gave only 6runs while scalping 3wkts in his 4 overs. So overall it was a excellent bowling perfomance from the Matrix bowlers.
Chasing 116 in a T20 game is a cakewalk most of the times and so was it for Earth Matrix too as they won the match in style by 10wkts. Openers Akshay and Sudarshan single handedly finished off the chase with their aggressive batting where in Akshay retired hurt at 51 off 38balls while Sudarshan remained unbeaten on 47*.
Earth Matrix won the match by 10wkts and 6.5 overs to spare while spinner Sarvesh was declared ‘man of the match’ for his 4-fer. Cricketgraph congratulates the winning team while also wishes luck to all the players for a great year ahead.
