Karan Vasodia Packs a punch for CGST with 168 in Times Shield

CGST & C.Ex, Mumbai Zone took on Mafatlal Cricket Club during the Group ‘C’ game of the ‘B’ Division Times Shield tournament. Batting first, Mafatlal scored 299 in the first innings and 102/2 in the second innings. Krunal Nar was the top run-scorer for Mafatlal with an unbeaten 58.

In reply to Mafatlal’s 299, CGST posted a mammoth 415, thanks to Karan Vasodia’s stellar century. Vasodia plundered 168 off 184 balls, hitting 25 boundaries and clearing the ropes twice. The prolific batter helped his team take a sizeable first-innings lead of 116 runs. Mafatlal bowlers,  barring Vishwanath Parmar, who scalped 140/6, had no answers to Vasodia’s onslaught.  

The match between CGST and Mafatlal ended in a draw, with CGST taking a first-innings lead.
